Weekend in Nebraska

Mommy and daddy drove me to Gretna, Nebraska over Labor Day! I met (Pastor) Robert and Marion Joslin. I was good for the whole car ride thanks to Baby Einstein videos and Grandma Lucy.

First family vacation

Mommy and Daddy wanted to go to the bed and breakfast that they stayed at on their wedding night to celebrate their 5th anniversary. They told me that I got to come along this year, but that this would be the only time--next year I have to stay with Grandma! So, I was on my best behavior to show them that they want me along every year. Here Dad and I are in our room; I woke up a little earlier than usual so that Daddy and I could play with my toys in bed rather than wasting his time sleeping in!


Breakfast was really good. Mommy gave me a Gerber cookie for the first time to help keep me busy while they enjoyed their meal.Here's a close-up showing just how much I enjoyed my cookie. Good thing they had a high chair, because otherwise my cookie would have been all over Mommy or Daddy!
Later that day we picked up Ezra from Grandma's and went hiking around Lake Nelson.
Ezzie, our dog, was pretty brave at breaking a trail through the woods. It was a little rainy, but still a fun day to be outside. When we were done hiking, Mom said that both Ezra and I were getting a bath as soon as we got home!! (I guess that shows Ezzie and I really had a lot of fun!) Can't wait to do it again next year!!

I am starting to eat real food now! Here I am enjoying my first meal - rice cereal. What about steak and lobster mommy?

Snuggling with Ezzie

Here I am snuggling with Ezzie; I'm finally bigger than her! I weighed in at my 4 month appointment at 16 lbs 7 oz and 25 1/2" long.

We're already best friends-- we share each other's toys, and Ezzie doesn't even get too upset when I pull her whiskers!!
