The 4th of July weekend was wonderful! It started Saturday morning, with Grandma Linda, Daddy, Mama, and I all getting up early to run the Fishy 4 mile race. I didn't wake up quite early enough-- if you look closely, you'll notice that I "ran" the race in my pajamas! I really liked that they gave out bottles of water every mile and people cheered for us and waved most of the race. I waved back, and cheered on the other participants-- especially Grandma Linda!

After the parade, Grandma Linda and I baked this strawberry shortcake for our 4th of July picnic. It was delicious!

The fireworks were too much fun to waste time posing for pictures... this was the best shot that Mama could get...

The next day, we went to Grandma Lucy's house, and I went horsebackriding. If you can't tell, I really had a fun weekend, and didn't want to go home to Minneapolis!
